The objectives and functions of the Hyattstown Volunteer Fire Department shall be to provide fire, rescue and emergency medical services to the citizens in the area; to provide necessary mutual aid as requested; to encourage the cultivation of fraternal fellowship; to establish a harmony of action in the provision of fire, rescue and emergency medical services to the citizens; to promote the best interest of the volunteer fire, rescue and ambulance service; to insure prosperity and success of our organization; to instill a sense of individual obligation to our community and neighbors; to consecrate and sanctify our devotion to mutual helpfulness.
